Links encourages constructive and thoughtful comments from readers. Comments submitted will be moderated and not all will necessarily appear.

Links is an avowedly left-wing site, and the discussions here will reflect that. There are millions of other sites on the internet where right-wing viewpoints can be posted. They will not be posted here.

Comments should be of substance, and where possible backed by facts and/or sources. One-line statements of approval or disapproval will not be posted.

Comments must be comradely and respectful, and in the spirit of furthering the aims of the left and green movements worldwide. Racist, homophobic, sexist or abusive/derogatory comments will not appear, nor will comments by ``trolls'', i.e. those whose purpose is to provoke heated reactions to impede or sidetrack debate.

Please don't link to commercial or spam sites in your comments or your identity (political sites are OK) as your message will be deleted whatever its merits.

Please use a heading for your comment that makes it obvious it is not spam (i.e. don't use headings like "I agree", "Good post", "Thanks" etc.).

For practical reasons, in general, comments need to be in English.
