SISTEM DUA PARTI DI MALAYSIA
SUATU ANALISA KRITIKAL
Forum Sosialisma adalah satu acara tahaunan anjuran Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) yang diadakan sejak tahun 2005. Namun setiap tiga tahun sekali.
Sejak Tsunami Pilihanraya Mac 8, 2008. Politik Malaysia buat pertama kalinya memberi satu harapan bahawa Barisan pembangkang – Pakatan Rakyat mempunyai harapan untuk memerintah negara buat kali pertama.
TWO PARTY SYSTEM IN MALAYSIA
A CRITICAL ANALYSIS
Socialism is an annual conference organized by the Parti Sosialis Malaysia(PSM) and has been held since the year 2005. This national conference goes international every three years once.
This year, Socialism 2009 will be a national conference but with the attendance of participants from left organizations from the South East Asian region. The presence this year of participants from Indonesia, Thailand, Phillipines and Singapore at the conference will further add to the debate and discussion.
The topic chosen for Socialism 2009 is the Two-party System – A Critical Analysis. The Election Tsunami of March 8, 2008, has given rise to the possibility of the opposition front, the Pakatan Rakyat, ruling the country for the very first time. This prospect has sparked off debate that Malaysia is ready to move on to the two-party political system.
Still, many questions persist regarding the efficacy of the
two-party system and the experience of other countries, whether a
change of ruling party leads to a change in the system, and thirdly
whether as per the political theory of stages, it is necessary to pass
through this stage before launching the actual struggle.
